Love for Your Birth.
I support you and your birth partner in this Official HypnoBirthing® Birth Course (Laura-style) to let go of how things “should be” and grow into full trust in your own strong, gentle, and uniquely stubborn self.
You will learn:
-
How to (re)build trust in your body.
-
How brilliantly your body is designed.
-
How to regulate your nervous system in any situation.
-
How to navigate within the birth system.
-
How to create a great partnership with your caregivers.
-
How your birth partner can become your anchor in the space and support you in confidently bringing your baby into the world.
Now, let those badass parents be born!
Sounds like a great plan?
Yes, you can’t deny the effects of HypnoBirthing®. Parents who have completed the Official HypnoBirthing® Birth Course are able to support themselves and each other in any situation, regulate their nervous systems, and speak up about their needs in all possible birth scenarios. Parents become the guardians of their own birth process and stay in control. They welcome their baby with calm, love, and confidence in themselves.
This birth experience is not guaranteed in the current birth system. There is too little preparation, and there is too much cultural status difference between caregivers and pregnant people. It doesn’t have to be this way—but change takes work.
I can’t promise you the “dream birth”—nature, you, and your baby decide that. But you do have a lot of influence. And exactly how much, you’ll get to learn in this fun and really in-dept course.
Zo gaat het eruit zien:
- You and your birth partner sign up for this course. You register through the sign-up form and order the course via the website or send me a message.
- Video call with Laura (20–30 minutes): We’ll meet, and I’d love to hear about your wishes for pregnancy, birth, and beyond. There’s also space to discuss any special circumstances so I can tailor the course to your needs.
- You’ll receive the course materials by e-mail.
- Meetings: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 led by Laura + an info session by Midwife Maaike about key medical interventions and the caregiver’s role.
- Birth plan support (Yes, I secretly doula my course participants.)
- Your birth. Yay!
Program of the course
Lesson 1: Clearing out old beliefs and working with positive expectations
The main goal of lesson 1 is to question societal programming and establish a positive expectation for your birth.
In this lesson, you’ll learn about the influence of fear, how brilliantly the body is designed, and we’ll introduce working with self-hypnosis. This helps you approach the rest of the course with a fresh perspective and confidence.
Lesson 2: Falling in love with your baby
Parenthood begins before birth, and in this lesson, you’ll start stepping into that role and enjoy what unfolds.
Your baby is already conscious and experiencing life on Earth from the womb. That might sound a bit “out there,” but pre- and perinatal psychology has shown that babies in the womb, just like those outside it, have awareness.
In this lesson, we focus on the loving bond between you and your little one—by connecting, making contact, and laying the foundation for secure attachment.
Lesson 3: Advanced Visualization and Deepening into (self)Hypnosis
We’ll also explore the birth plan and discuss various scenarios—ranging from a physiological birth to a medically supported one.
Bonus Lesson: The Role of the Care Provider, by Midwife Maaike
Although the HypnoBirthing® is a really complete and rich course, it tends to approach the topic of medical birth with care, the daily reality is that many pregnancies are supported in a hospital setting. That’s why I’m happy to offer an extra in-depth module on this subject. And while I know a lot about the medical side of birth, I believe this is something best taught by a skilled care provider.
That’s why I’ve invited the amazing Midwife Maaike to give all participants an introduction to the role of the care provider—how she approaches this role, and the options she and hospital staff have to support a birth when it becomes necessary.
After this introduction and the five main lessons, you’ll be able to:
– Write a unique birth plan that is based on YOU.
– Navigate the maternity care system with confidence
– Stay in charge of your own birth process.
Lesson 4: The Birth Process Step by Step
After the bonus lesson on the role of the care provider, we shift our focus back to the physiological side of birth.
We walk through the stages of labor, the role of the birth partner, and very practically discuss: What to do! when the party is starting.
Lesson 5: The Grand Finale
And then: all the preparation is done. Your baby is about to be born.
This lesson is all about the final stage of the birth process and your big meeting.
It’s a very practical session focused on: how does this phase work, and what do you do?
You’ll also get an introduction to the postpartum period—including breastfeeding, recovery, and self-care.
I’ll give you a birth plan template, which you’re welcome to send me for a gold star and a smiley sticker. 😉
And then… you’re ready!

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Can I join the HypnoBirthing® classes without my partner?
Make sure to choose a supportive birth companion. This doesn’t have to be your life partner — a close friend, sister, mother, neighbor, or doula can also take on this role. I always recommend having a strong and trusted birth partner by your side — someone who knows you well and puts your well-being first. This course will fully prepare them for that essential role. This is in the foundation of the course.
BUT… if you’d prefer to take the course on your own, I’m happy to offer you a private, personalized version so that you can still benefit from as many of the helpful tools as possible. No problem at all 🙂
Is HypnoBirthing® a bit too ‘woo-woo'?
No, HypnoBirthing® is actually a very down-to-earth approach to understanding the brilliant design of the pregnant body. This method helps you understand what’s happening during birth and how to best support the process naturally and effectively.
That said, HypnoBirthing® is sometimes confused with other versions like “hypnobirthing” or “Hypnobirthing” (lowercase, no registered mark). These are often taught by instructors who are not officially certified and who have created their own version of the method. Sometimes, those versions can be a little more… floaty ;
I'm afraid of giving birth — can HypnoBirthing® help with that?
Yes — through education and practical tools, you’ll learn how to ‘hack’ your brain and support your body.
During the course, you’ll gain a whole new perspective on birth and begin to understand where our collective fear around it comes from. Because let’s be honest: almost everyone feels fear around giving birth. It’s a cultural thing.
BUT: If you’ve experienced something traumatic that is still affecting you emotionally or psychologically, I strongly recommend seeking support from a qualified healthcare professional alongside this course. HypnoBirthing® can be incredibly helpful in your healing journey, but it’s important to process trauma with the right guidance — so you can step into parenthood feeling strong and confident.
Feel free to mention this when signing up — I’m happy to think along with you and adapt the course to best suit your needs.
How does hypnosis work in HypnoBirthing®?
All hypnosis in HypnoBirthing® is self-hypnosis.
You’ll learn how to guide yourself into a deep state of relaxation — similar to watching a cozy fire or getting lost in a good movie. You remain fully in control and can go in and out of this state whenever you choose.
This calm state helps your body produce feel-good hormones, allows you to drift off gently, and takes the edge off the sensations of birth. You’re absolutely not under anyone’s control — no one is going to make you cluck like a chicken, like you sometimes see on TV.
Does this course also prepare me for a medical (hospital) birth?
Yes, HypnoBirthing® gives you tools to support yourself and your partner during a medical birth as well.
You’ll learn how to regulate your nervous system in any situation that may arise during labour, and you’ll be well-informed about the birthing process itself.
The standard course doesn’t typically include detailed information about medical interventions or pain relief options for special circumstances — that’s the role of your care provider. We also want to avoid triggering unnecessary fear or undermining your trust in your body’s ability to give birth.
BUT: In reality, there often isn’t enough time in maternity care to really dive into the medical side of birth. And because I believe my clients can absolutely handle the depth and nuance of this topic after taking the course, I’ve chosen to include it anyway.
That’s why there’s a special bonus session with midwife Maaike — so you can truly feel the value of working with a skilled and supportive care provider.
Will I also learn how to breathe/"puff" during labour in this course?
Yes — the course includes three different breathing techniques, each for a specific phase of labour.
These aren’t forced or artificial tricks, but natural breathing patterns based on how the body is designed to work. We’ll explain the differences and practice them, so that you (or your partner) can support your breathing in a calm, relaxed way during birth.
This helps you stay centered, supports your uterus, and ensures your baby gets plenty of oxygen throughout the process.
